A local tutor from New Nongstoin was arrested by the Nongstoin Police on Tuesday for molesting a teen student. The incident was reported to the police on Tuesday.
Local Tutor arrested
As per reports from local media, an FIR was lodged against the accused, identified as Sanjay Thakur, aged 24, for molesting a thirteen year old girl when she was at his house to take tuition. On the 9th of May 2022, the accused reportedly molested the victim by touching her inappropriately.
An FIR was lodged by the victim’s mother, after the victim informed her about the same . The accused was detained on the 9th May 2022 and was subsequently arrested on 10th of May 2022.
The arrest has been made against the accused under Section 7/8 of the POCSO Act.
