The RISE project targets enhancing the capabilities of local weavers by introducing advanced Jacquard machinery. These technological advancements are envisioned to drive efficiency, growth, and sustainability within their businesses. By enabling the weavers to diversify their product range and stay attuned to market demands, the project seeks to catalyze economic development within the communities.

The implementation strategy of RISE involves Technology Based Entrepreneurship Training (TEDP) sessions conducted in Bondapara and Milonpur villages, with successful completion already achieved by beneficiaries. The training equips participants with the necessary skills to operate technologically advanced Jacquard Looms, laying the foundation for enterprise formation. Ongoing TEDP sessions in Pairanga village further underscore the commitment to fostering entrepreneurship in the handloom sector.

This initiative not only uplifts traditional practices but also contributes to the socio-economic progress of the Kamrup Rural district.
