The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the Class 10 and Class 12 examination results for the academic year 2024-25 on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. This significant milestone marks the culmination of years of dedication and hard work for millions of students across India and abroad.

Impressive Pass Percentages Reflect Academic Excellence
This year, the CBSE Class 12 examinations witnessed a commendable pass percentage of 88.39%, indicating a notable improvement in student performance compared to previous years. Girls outperformed boys by over 5 percentage points, showcasing their academic prowess and commitment to excellence.
For Class 10, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.60%, reflecting the consistent efforts of students and educators alike. These results underscore the resilience and determination of students who navigated the challenges of the academic year with perseverance.
Celebrating Top Performers and Academic Achievements
While CBSE has discontinued the practice of announcing individual toppers to discourage unhealthy competition, the board has highlighted the achievements of students who scored exceptionally well. Over 1.15 lakh students secured marks above 90%, and more than 24,000 candidates achieved scores exceeding 95%, reflecting the high academic standards maintained by CBSE.
Multiple Platforms to Access Results Seamlessly
To ensure easy and convenient access to results, CBSE has provided multiple platforms:
- Official Websites: Students can check their results on cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in.
- DigiLocker: Digitally signed mark sheets are available on DigiLocker, providing students with secure and official documentation.
- UMANG App: The Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) app offers another convenient platform to access results.
- SMS and IVRS: For students without internet access, CBSE has facilitated result retrieval through SMS and Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). Students can dial the specified number, enter the relevant STD code, and follow the instructions to enter their roll number and other required details.
Next Steps: Re-evaluation and Compartment Exams
Students who are not satisfied with their results have the option to apply for re-evaluation. The process involves requesting a photocopy of the answer sheet, identifying discrepancies, and submitting an application for re-evaluation along with the prescribed fee.
For those who did not pass in one or two subjects, CBSE offers the opportunity to appear for compartment exams. However, students failing in more than two subjects will need to repeat the academic year.
A Moment of Pride and New Beginnings
The declaration of the CBSE 10th and 12th results is not just an end but a new beginning. It opens doors to higher education opportunities, professional courses, and various career paths. Students are encouraged to reflect on their achievements, learn from their experiences, and step confidently into the next phase of their academic and professional journeys.
