Assam down town University Celebrates Assam’s Spiritual and Cultural Heritage
May 8, 2026: A vibrant celebration of Assam’s spiritual and cultural heritage unfolded at Assam down town University (AdtU) as the Auniatiya Sanskritik Seva Samiti from Majuli presented a captivating Nritya Natika programme on campus.
The event brought together eminent scholars, cultural personalities, artists, faculty members, students, and cultural enthusiasts for an immersive showcase of Assamese devotional traditions, Satriya culture, music, and performing arts. The programme highlighted the enduring relevance of Assam’s Vaishnavite heritage while reinforcing the importance of preserving indigenous cultural traditions through academic and community engagement.
Felicitation of Sri Sri Pitambardev Goswami Marks Key Highlight
One of the major highlights of the event was the felicitation of Pitambardev Goswami, the 16th Satradhikar of Sri Sri Auniati Satra, Majuli. His presence added spiritual significance and cultural depth to the occasion.
