According to Sangrang Brahma, secretary of the Assam Football Association (AFA), preparations are in full swing for the event. Both the Indian and Afghanistan teams are scheduled to arrive in Guwahati on March 24 and are expected to have practice sessions on March 25 ahead of the crucial qualifier.

The AFA, under the leadership of president Naba Kumar Doley, is excited about hosting the FIFA World Cup Qualifier in Guwahati.
