Mizoram reported 63 new COVID-19 cases on 3rd May, up from 23 the day before, bringing the total to 2,27,556, according to a health department official.
According to him, the COVID-19 death toll remained at 697 because no fresh fatalities were reported.

Fresh cases were found from 575 samples examined on Monday, increasing the single-day positivity rate to 10.96% from 8.10% the day before, he said.
According to him, Mizoram now has 475 active COVID-19 cases, with 2,26,384 persons recovering from the disease so far, including 255 on Monday.
The COVID-19 recovery rate is presently 99.48%, with a 0.30 percent death rate.
On Monday, the northeastern state recorded 40 COVID-19 cases and one death.
According to state Immunisation officer Lalmuanawma Jongte, over 8.48 lakh people have been inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine till Monday.
