Tripura Government issues fresh set of restrictions on January for Covid-19; Read to know

Tripura government on Monday 31st January announced a fresh set of restrictions after reviewing the current situation in the state.

Issuing a notification, the State Government said that it was felt necessary to revise some restrictions in the state.

Corona Night Curfew-

A night curfew has been imposed from 10 pm to 5 am under section 22 (2) h of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

Revision of the SOP-

Meeting/gathering at any closed spaces (up to a maximum 50% of capacity only) will be allowed by maintaining aggressive COVID appropriate behaviour to contain the spread of
COVID-19 virus.

The seating arrangement should be made to maintain the social distance norm of 2-yard distance. Video recording shall be done for any such events to ensure that restrictions were maintained.

No public meetings in open spaces are allowed.

Movie Halls/Multiplexes, Swimming Pool etc, may be opened with 50% capacity only.

Gymnasium, sports complexes & stadia etc. may be allowed with 50% capacity only.

All standalone shops and commercial establishments including shopping complexes /Malls, Beauty parlours, Barbershops may remain open only from 6 AM to 9 PM. Medicine shops, however, shall remain open at all times. Shop owners will ensure social distancing and wearing of masks among the customers. Bazaar committees should deploy volunteers to ensure social distancing.

Restaurants/dhabas will operate only up to 9 PM with only 50% of their total capacity, Restaurants in hotels will operate up to 9 PM for outside guests with 50% of their total capacity but In-house guests will avail of services at all times.

Meeting, as far as possible, shall be conducted on video-conferencing and personal meetings with visitors, unless necessary in the public interest, are to be avoided.

The physical meeting, if necessary, is to be held with limited participants only by maintaining
aggressive COVID appropriate behaviour.

All Government and non-government offices shall operate at 100% attendance.

The aggressive COVID appropriate behaviour has to be followed by officials and staff of all categories. All Officers/Staff have to ensure strict compliance with COVID appropriate behaviour viz. frequent washing of hands sanitization, wearing a mask/face cover, observing social distancing etc, at all times.

Proper cleaning and frequent sanitization of the workplace, particularly of the frequently touched surfaces may be ensured. HoDs may also ensure non-crowding in corridors,
canteens etc.

People should avoid unnecessary movement outside the home or workplace.

In case of need, movement may take place by following aggressive COVID appropriate behaviour. All persons other than family members (not as a member of a family) shall maintain strictly 6 feet (2 Yards X2 Yards) distance from each other on roads and other public places at all times. Only family members are exempted (they can walk the the the road and other places
together).

Marriage functions will be allowed following aggressive COVID appropriate behaviour.

People returning from marriage functions having valid invitation cards will be exempted from the night curfew.

All religious places may remain open for the public maintaining aggressive COVID appropriate behaviour.

Wearing of face cover is compulsory in public places, in all workplaces and during transport.

Allowed activities throughout the state:

There shall be no curbs on the movement of goods including petroleum products, empty goods vehicles and loading/unloading thereof.

Movement of persons & vehicles related to Telecommunication, internet services, broadcasting and cable services, IT & IT-enabled services.

Movement of persons and vehicles related to delivery services of all essential goods including Food, Pharmaceutical, medical equipment etc, through e-commerce.

Movement of persons and vehicles related to Petrol pumps, LPG, CNG, Petroleum and Gas retail and storage outlets.

Movement of employees engaged in industries/companies requiring operation 24 x7 and
multiple shifts and those producing essential goods shall be allowed to produce valid ID cards issued by their respective Organizations/Institutions.

Movement of persons and vehicles related to Bank and ATM, RBI, Insurance, NIC, Customs and Land Port and other financial institutions.

Movement of employees and personnel engaged in Airport/Railway operations and cargo service.

Movement of persons engaged in Postal & Courier services

Movement of persons related to carrying of seed, fertilizer, pesticides, agricultural implements & repairing thereof.

Movement of persons and vehicles carrying goods from FC and other Outlets controlled by FCS & CA Deptt.

Movement of patients & attendants for getting medical services.

Movement of Electronic and Print media persons and government employees handling media issues on the production of valid documents.

Tea gardens will function maintaining aggressive COVID appropriate behaviour. Vehicles
carrying green tea leaves will be allowed.

Home delivery from Hotels, Restaurants and other eateries will be allowed,

Delivery of essential goods through e-Commerce will continue maintaining aggressive COVID appropriate behaviour.

All establishments dealing with gas production, power generation, cold storage and warehouse.

Private security services

Hotels will operate including taking home and food delivery services.

Persons engaged in essential services like plumbing, electrician, mechanic, repair of household equipments etc.

Any other exemption allowed by concerned DM & Collectors.

Works under MGNREGAS will continue after strictly maintaining aggressive COVID appropriate behaviour.

Agricultural/Fisheries/Horticulture/Forestry/ADD & Rubber tapping activities will
continue in rural areas after maintaining social distance and wearing face masks.

Vehicles carrying milk will be allowed during the curfew period at all times. All goods
carrying vehicles are already allowed in the order.

Construction and project works will be exempted during curfew periods.
