Guwahati: Police books 85 persons for drunk driving; suspends driver’s license

Guwahati Police, last night, on December 27, intercepted 85 persons for drunk driving. A Fine of ₹10,000 was imposed & the driver’s license was suspended.

So far, 380 persons have been booked. The authorities assured everyone that all COVID-related precautions are being taken during testing.

Similarly, on the night of December 22, 26 people were intercepted for drunk driving. Their licenses have been suspended and have been charged with a fine of ₹10,000/-.
