As various students have thought of increasing their semester marks by appearing in the exams again, the Gauhati University at the same time have failed to deliver the same from the previous sessions of 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Gauhati University fails to declare results:
As the University has not announced the results of the arrear examinations yet, the students have raised their concerns over the same.
UGC on the matter:
As per University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines, the results for the arrear examinations were to be announced before December 31, but this has not been done by the university.
Many students are facing hurdles in the path of seeking employment due to this issue. Many of them could not apply for the post of sub-inspector of Assam Police (Unarmed Branch) which was held on January 9.
