In Central Assam’s Morigaon area, police have apprehended a 50-year-old man on allegations of allegedly raping three young females.
According to reports by The Northeast Now, Rajani Kanta Daimary, a man from Jengorbori village in the district’s Laharighat police station, allegedly raped three minor girls.

A case was filed at the Laharighat police station based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s relatives, and he was arrested on Wednesday.
According to police, the accused enticed the victims to his residence and raped them.
According to a police official, the accused person fled after committing the crime and was apprehended by police in the Amtola region on Wednesday.
“On December 20, a charge was filed against Rajani Daimary at the Laharighat police station for allegedly rapping three little girls aged 6-7 years.” “On Wednesday, we apprehended the accused in the Amtola region,” the police official added.
The case was filed at the Laharighat police station on Monday under sections 376 AB and R/W section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
