USLR conducted Mobile Legal House at CJM Court, 2022

The University School of Law and Research (USLR), USTM, presently inaugurated its departmental Best Practice, which is a unique initiative of creating awareness and also providing legal counsel to the poor and needy masses by way of a Mobile Legal House, with the goal of providing legal aid and advice to Court goers and any other people in need of legal counsel.

Moreover, Dr R.K. Sharma Advisor, USTM, inaugurated it at the University School of Law and Research. The Mobile Legal House Car was then flagged off by Dr Sharma and the Dean of USLR, Dr Baharul Islam.

A group of faculty and student from USLR and USTM went to the CJM Court

A group of academics and students from USLR and USTM then went to the CJM Court Kamrup premises and put up a small kiosk, where they provided legal advice to the many persons who approached the team with various legal problems and questions, which the team members answered as best they could.

Abdul Wadud Sk. (Assistant Professor), Manjeera Saikia (Assistant Professor), Barnali Deka (Assistant Professor, USLR), Iftikar Sarwar, Nimpi Brahma, Sayed Nawaz Afridi, Nabadeep Hazarika, and Pallabi Barman (Students of USLR) were among the teachers and students present at the event. 

The event came to a close with contributions from various members of the legal community, including practising attorneys who approached the team to express their gratitude for the University School of Law and Research’s unusual and beneficial project.
