Joe Biden; “God willing, it’s going to save a lot of lives”
President Joe Biden, after signing the law said, “God willing, it’s going to save a lot of lives.”
The new law came into effect after the horrific aftermath of the recent shooting in a Texas elementary school. The House reportedly passed the bill by 234-193, which included a total of 14 Republicans voting with Democrats. The Senate on the other hand passed the bill in a late-night vote on Thursday.
The new law celebrates the end of gun violence inflicted upon several victims of the states. He further said, “While this bill doesn’t do everything I want, it does include actions I have long called for that are going to save lives. Today, we say more than enough. This time, when it seems impossible to get anything done in Washington, we are doing something consequential.”
