SBI undertaking various measures for the welfare of its staff

The SBI has taken a number of steps to improve the welfare of its employees. Organizing sports events and activities is one of the initiatives aimed at promoting a healthy and happy workforce. The Bank’s basic and implied concern in such endeavours is that a happy and content employee will be more productive, which will enrich the Bank.

SBI

SBI is committed to improving its policies, systems, and processes to ensure the safety of its employees in the event of unforeseen events. While the risk of major health and safety incidents in the BFSI sector is low, SBI is committed to reducing this risk to ensure that no work-related injuries or fatalities occur.

Ergonomic stress, lifestyle diseases, and mental stress, as well as work-related hazards such as fire, electrical shock, and other building safety-related issues, have been identified by the Bank as significant occupational health and safety risks to its employees. To ensure that all employees are aware of critical health and safety issues, the Bank conducts awareness programmes on issues that they may face at work and at home, as well as methods for dealing with them effectively.

The Bank’s agenda prioritises human development. It provides a wide range of learning interventions not only at each stage of the employee lifecycle but also speciality programmes tailored to the nature and role of the employee’s job.

Such targeted learning interventions aimed at improving technical and managerial competencies have aided managers in their current roles as well as their development as future leaders and visionaries of your Bank. Additionally, SBI Bank is developing individual development plans for each of its potential leaders in order to empower and enable them on their path to success.
