The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has been conducting the HS Exams 2023 for Class 12 students in the state. However, rumours of a Chemistry paper leak surfaced just a day before the exam. State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and AHSEC Test Controller issued an official notice to debunk the rumours, stating that they were completely baseless and fake.

Pegu took to Twitter to address the issue and wrote, “The news of the Chemistry question paper leak in the current HS examination is completely fake and baseless. I have personally checked the matter. We are taking utmost care and maintaining vigilance. Please don’t heed fake news and rumours.” The AHSEC notice also reiterated this stance and urged students not to believe any such false rumours.

While local media reports suggested that the Assam Class 12th paper had been leaked on WhatsApp the night before the exam and circulated, the incident only came to light after the exam had ended, with a student claiming that the paper had been leaked.

According to sources, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council addressed the problem and made it clear that unfair techniques were not used during the exam and that students should concentrate on the future exam. Also, it reaffirmed the fabrication of the Assam HS paper leak news. However, the authorities have assured students not to panic and concentrate on the remaining examinations.

Controversies surrounding the AHSEC chemistry paper leak

This is not the first time that reports of paper leaks have emerged during board exams. Last year, several incidents of paper leaks were reported during the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams across the country. In many cases, the authorities were able to take swift action and ensure that the exams were conducted fairly.

Paper leaks can have a detrimental effect on the education system, and it is essential to prevent such incidents from occurring. It not only undermines the credibility of the examination process but also affects the performance of students who have studied hard for the exams. Moreover, it creates a sense of disillusionment among students who may feel that their hard work has gone to waste.

To prevent such incidents from occurring, the education department must take strict measures to ensure that the examination process remains fair and transparent. This includes ensuring that question papers are kept under strict supervision, and the number of people who have access to them is limited. Additionally, there should be regular checks and audits to ensure that there are no breaches in the system.

In conclusion, while rumours of a Chemistry paper leak during the ongoing AHSEC Exams 2023 for Class 12 students in Assam have emerged, the authorities like Ranoj Pegu have debunked them as fake and baseless. However, students are urged not to panic and concentrate on the remaining exams.
