In alignment with the National Education Policy 2020, the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), in collaboration with the Assam Government’s flagship Arohan scheme, is actively involved in inspiring meritorious students to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects in higher education.

This joint initiative, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, has proven successful, with collective efforts from all stakeholders involved.

Scheme’s Impact

This initiative aims to encourage students to explore the vast opportunities and interests in STEM education. Notably, approximately 65% of the participants were female students, underscoring the importance of promoting gender inclusivity in STEM education.
