A decision has been taken by the Gauhati High Court, in regard to increase of salary hike for Home Guards. This brings in a new of hope for the Home Guards for relentless effort and hard work put forward by them.
Gauhati High Court announces salary hike for home guards
The Gauhati High Court announced a hike of Rs. 14,000 in the remuneration of home guards in Assam. The salary of Home Guards has been increased to Rs. 23,000 instead of Rs. 9,000 which they received earlier.
The order has been issued by the Gauhati High Court under the directives of the Supreme Court of India. The decision has been put in place after constant protests by the Home Guards. The protest was staged against the government for not fulfilling their demands.
The High Court has further given a time period of 3 months to implement the order in the state.
The decision was applauded by the Home Guards. As of now, the order has been implemented in 23 states of India.
