Punjab-based Youtuber, Paras Singh has been granted bail by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court of Itanagar. Earlier this year, on May 26th, he was arrested for his racial remarks towards Congress MLA Ninong Ering and the people of the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Paras dramatically made the racial comments while he was reacting to a letter by the Congress MLA Ering to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ering wrote to the PM appealing to ban the relaunch of Battlegrounds Mobile India, India’s new avatar of PUBG Mobile. The former Lok Sabha member, Ering emphasized that the game should be banned as it is directed towards deceiving the Indian government and citizens.

Paras was brought to Itanagar, on May 27th, following his arrest by a team of SIT from the state and was sent for judicial custody for 6 days on May 29th. Two other PUBG gamers, named Inder Preet and Shivamm Raghav also did not refrain from passing similar racial comments. Preet called the minster ‘Chinese’ because of his appearance and further added that Ering has no idea of his whereabouts. In aiding Preet’s reply, Shivamm tweeted that the minister himself was from China and therefore his name is also Chinese.
