Ranoj Pegu, Education Minister of Assam stated that all those students who secured first division in Higher Secondary Examination will get scooty.
Students to get scooty
As per reports, the minister said, “Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had on earlier declared that the students securing first division in HSLC and HS will be given scooty. The reward will be given based on the cut-off marks keeping in mind the budget.”
The set of criteria has been provided to ascertain the students who will be rewarded with a scooty based on a cut-off. The reports further reveal that the Chief Minister is yet to decide the criteria on which the Arundoram Barooah Award will be given.
The higher secondary results of Assam were declared on Monday at 9 am. The results displayed an excellent performance by the female candidates in comparison to their male counterparts.
The AHSEC declared the results of the three streams – Arts, Commerce, and Science. Hritiraj Bastav Kalita scored 491 out of 500 (Science), Sagar Agarwal scored 482 out of 500 marks (Commerce), and Sadhana Devi scored 487 out of 500 (Arts).
