A massive fight broke out near Cotton University, where a few people who were hanging out near a food stall were allegedly beaten mercilessly by some boarders of a hostel of the University.

How did the Incident happen?

Speaking to The North-Eastern Chronicle, one of them narrated that they were hanging around at a food stall around 3:48pm on Friday, November 26, when one of them spat Gutka which accidently fell on a boy’s leg, which created a rage.

Within a few minutes of argument the boy called a few other boarders of his hostel and started attacking the youth mercilessly who spat Gutka and threatened others who tried to stop the fight.

The fight turned out to be so intense that the crew of the boys did not even spare the girl who tried to stop them. She was allegedly scratched in her hands while trying to stop the fight and was warned to stay away.

The girl and her friends kept asking for help but none of the spectators stepped forward to help them. Two of the attackers have been allegedly identified as Mrigom Doley and Diganta Baishya though it’s officially not confirmed.

After some time, someone called the Police to intervene in the matter, but before the police could arrive those attackers managed to leave the spot. A report has been lodged at the Police Station and the investigation is still on.
