Himanta Biswa Sarma today took the oath as 15th Chief Minister of Assam. The ceremony was held in Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati.
He took the oath in the Assamese language around 12.05 Pm. The same was administered by Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi.
Earlier today before the oath ceremony, Sarma visited Doul Gobinda Temple for blessing. However, after CM’s oath, Assam BJP President Ranjit Kumar Das has taken oath as a minister.
