In a notice issued today, the government of Assam has made it compulsory for all of its state government employees to get vaccinated or else they will be exempted from their monthly salary. This applies for both contractual as well as employees with fixed pay.
This decision has been taken keeping in view the overall situation of Covid in the state. No doubt the present condition is gradually improving yet the government is not taking any chances over the entire matter.
Assam is comparatively at a very speed pace vaccinating its citizens. Every day is recording new heights of numbers of people getting vaccinated. However, some still remain in dilemma over the inoculation drive happening in the state.
