On 30th August morning, a 23-year-old married woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her colleague Venkatesh, 27. While she was going to work on Doddabele Road in Kengeri, he attacked her with a knife and stabbed her repeatedly and slit her throat and then escaped.
What did the police get from the inquiry?
After the incident the police arrested the accused. According to the police, both the victim and the accused were working in a medical firm FMCG and staying in accomodation provided by the company, along with other employees.
Inquiries revealed that Venkatesh had proposed marriage to Anitha, but she had declined saying that her parents will not accept.
How did the incident happen?
Both Anitha and Venkatesh were originally from Andhra Pradesh and since two years They have been working in the firm.
According to reports, Anitha told him that she had been already married to her relative while she was a minor, but he refused to believe and stabbed her to death.

“The accused had purchased the knife from a nearby shop, which indicated that it was a planned crime” a police officer said. Later Venkatesh confessed his crime and told how he purchased the knife to do the crime.
