Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) intercepted three persons, including a woman, in Mumbai for allegedly running a “marijuana cake baking bakery” in the city and arrested them on Saturday night.
The agency also seized 830 grams of edible weed pot brownie and 160 grams of marijuana during the raid. According to an official, when the agency raided the bakery, they seized a total of 10 brownies and marijuana at Orlem in Malad East. The agency initially arrested the couple who were running the bakery.
NCB Mumbai intercepted the main supplier in the case, identified as Jagat Chaurasia, at Bandra and found 125 gram of marijuana on him. He was placed under arrest on Sunday.
The official said “We explored a new trend among the young generation of consuming substance through brownie weed cakes which are mixed and baked accordingly. This is the first case in India in which the edible weed is used for baking cake.”
