A 25-year-old man, a resident of Dimapur was arrested for illegal possession of arms. This 25-year-old ‘gun-slinging some chose a gun instead of a rose to impress his girlfriend.
The arrested man has been identified as Torin Tikhir. He possessed a .22 caliber pistol with three live rounds of ammunition from the Padumpukhuri area of the city. A case has been registered at East Police Station in Dimapur.
The police said that during the initial inquiry, the arrested individual revealed that he had borrowed the pistol from another person to impress his girlfriend.
