34-year-old Dilraj Kaur who was recognized as one of the first Indian Star of International level in para shooting, was found selling chips and biscuits in a roadside stall near Gandhi Park in Dehradun, which directly pointed towards her bad financial status presently.
Dilraj has won over two dozen national and international titles throughout her career and stays in a rented apartment in Dehradun with her mother.
“Our financial state is very bad which is the reason why we are being forced to sell biscuits and chips to make ends meet. I have also appealed for a job on the basis of my achievement in sports a number of times but nothing has happened,” said Kaur.
