Guwahati: Shopping Malls, Cinema Halls cannot charge parking fees, says GMC

Guwahati Municipal Commission has ordered that shopping malls cannot charge parking fees. It stated that GMC has made 43 parking slots free in the city and fees can only be taken from 9 permitted parking places.

What is the development taken by Guwahati Municipal Commission?

GMC also stated that people can complain about GMC if anyone besides the 9 permitted parking spaces charges a fee.

GMC made it clear that shopping malls and cinema hall that comes under GMC also should not charge for the same.
