On the occasion of her eighth birthday, an eight year old girl named Jahnavi Kiran Kalita from Bajali district donated her birthday expenses to the CM Relief Fund. Jahnavi is a student of Class 2 of Anundoram Barooah Academy in Pathsala. Jahnavi is the younger daughter of Nava Kanta Kalita and Seema Kalita, residents of Barbhaluki village in Bajali district.
The donated expense was supposed to be spent on her birthday to help the state fight for Covid-19. Jahnavi also planted a neem sapling at the boundary of Pathsala Civil Hospital gate.
Jahnavi came up with the idea of donating the birthday celebration expenses to the CM Relief Fund along with her elder sister Drisha Kiran Kalita who is a student of class X. This appreciable gesture of Jahnavi is being applauded by people all over the state. “Although the amount is little, it may be used to procure COVID-19 vaccine and save life of someone”, said Jahnavi.
