Assam: State Government announces 2.5 lakh will be paid to widows whose husband passed due to Covid-19

GUWAHATI: Announcement is made by the Assam government that those of who’s husband’s died of Covid-19 and whose family income is less than 5 lakhs will be given 2.5 lakhs under new ‘Chief Minister Covid-19 Widow’s support scheme’. 

As per the scheme, beneficiary’s husband should have been COVID-positive patient at time of death and should be certified by the State-Level COVID Death Audit Board.
