The students of Assam Engineering College (AEC), in collaboration with the Help and Heal Foundation, have set up a relief camp in Basistha, Assam. The relief camp was financially supported by the funds generated from an open quiz competition- Raahat 2.0, conducted by AEC Quiz Club.
Distribution of dry ration
In the initiative, the group distributed packages of 10 kg Rice, 1 kg Dal, 1 kg Muri/Sira, 3 varieties of Spices and 250 gm Soybeans, along with sanitary napkins to 40 families that were in attendance in the relief drive.
Relief towards COVID affected
The relief camp was set up to help families that were adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We all know about the economic hardships people had to go through and the never ending sufferings of this pandemic. The initiative taken by the AEC students and the Help and Heal Foundation must have surely helped the beneficiaries go through this difficult time.
