Veteran actor Surekha Sikri has died at the age of 75 of a cardiac arrest, who was ailing for quite some time now and had suffered a brain stroke in 2020. Badhaai Ho and TV shows like Balika Vadhu are among the actress’ biggest contributions to the entertainment industry.
Sikri is a recipient of 3 National Awards. She won the National Film award for the Best Supporting Actress for the film ‘Badhaai Ho’. Her last work was seen in Netflix’s “Ghost Stories”, directed by Zoya Akhtar.
“Three-time national award winning actress, Surekha Sikri has passed away following a cardiac arrest earlier this morning at the age of 75. She had been suffering from complications arising from a second brain stroke. She was surrounded by family and her caregivers. The family asks for privacy at this time. Om Sai Ram,” her agent said.
