On the night of Saturday, October 16, the Dispur police arrested two girls under the influence of alcohol driving. The ladies allegedly created a commotion at the Dispur Police Station.
According to reports, the Traffic Police officer of Dispur had taken the 2 women under custody for ingesting and driving. The ladies later reached the Dispur Police station in a luxurious vehicle in an inebriated state and started developing a ruckus.
The two women arrested
The steeply-priced vehicle wherein the 2 ladies arrived bore the registration range AR 01 N 1101.
The two women at the moment were kept under the custody of Panbazar Women Police Station. Prior to this, the two girls underwent a fitness check-up at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Similar case of drunk driving by Rajkanya Baruah
Previously on October 1, Rajkanya Borah, who is an event manager by profession, had hit nine labourers in the Rukminigaon area of Guwahati late at night. During the incident, one of the labourers lost his leg. All the nine labourers have been straight away shifted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
The event manager was arrested by the police and booked under Sections 279, 294, 388 and 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Assam police.
Baruah’s license cancelled
Baruah’s riding licence was seized and the method of cancelling her licence had additionally been begun by the Kamrup (M) District Transport Office.
