New Covid norms by Tripura Govt
State government in Tripura, on 17th of January, decided to impose night curfew from 8pm instead of 9pm, completely shutting down the shopping mall, picnic sports multiplexes, and other possible locations from 20th January 2022.

Sushanta Chowdhury told the media that public gatherings will not be considered. Attendance in government offices in Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) areas has reduced to 50% and night curfew has been extended from 9 pm to 5am until January 31 aping with other several restrictions to the public

The state reported a total of over 8,000 positive cases with 14 deaths and a hike in positivity rate to 24%.
However, no Omicron cases have been reported so far to the state.
