With floods creating havoc in the Northeast and critical road and rail links being damaged, the Tripura govt is considering shipping important goods through Bangladesh.
Further, Tripura may face a food and other essentials shortage as a result of flooding in Assam, which has disrupted train and road connectivity.
Tripura Govt to transport essentials, food through Seaport
Meanwhile, the Tripura govt is considering shipping food and fuel through Bangladesh’s Chittagong seaport.
However, the Tripura administration is exploring new ways to convey food and other supplies that are quickly running short in the state.
The Tripura administration is also in contact with the Union Civil Aviation Ministry to boost flights between Agartala and Delhi, Guwahati, and Kolkata.
Furthermore, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha is said to have raised the issue with the Union Civil Aviation Ministry.
