Jaipur: A minor boy from Sikar, Rajasthan was publicly humiliated by villagers who forced him to dress up a woman and made him wear ghagra and bangles. The alleged incident was filmed by the accusers on a mobile phone.
According to sources, the minor was subjected to harassment as the villagers suspected him of eloping with a married girl and wanted him to teach a lesson, by forcing him to wear ghagra and bangles while tied iron chains around his neck.
On Tuesday, an FIR was registered at Patan Police Station when the victim’s family saw the circulated video, as per the reports, the victim has been declared as minor as police couldn’t verify the age and will have to rely on medical experts after further investigation.
Additional SP, Ratan Lal said, “The girl’s relatives have also filed a complaint against the boy. We are investigating the matter. The FIR was quickly registered when the video came to our notice.” As per the Patan police, some of the accused were detained. While efforts are underway to identify the other accused who have not been identified yet.
