An Organic tea of a rare variety, Pabhojan Gold Tea from Golaghat, Assam has been reported to have been sold for a whopping Rs 1 lakh per kg. As per reports from Pratidin Time, this has been the highest auction of this year.
Pabhojan Gold Tea sold at a high price per kg
The tea was auctioned at Jorhat. The tea sold by Pabhojan Organic Tea Estate has been purchased by Esah Tea which is an Assam-based tea brand.
The tea offers a bright yellow liquor and has a soothing aftertaste. It is made from the selectively plucked tea from the estate. The tips turn golden and add a hue to the beverage.
Bijit Sarma who is the CEO of Esah Tea said that the variety is one of the finest blends of Assam. He further added, “Tea Connoisseurs, this is an experience in a cup. Our customers are spread across the globe and will understand the taste and value of this variety. We are glad to be able to continue with our mission to provide them with authentic Assam tea flavours.”
