National Health Mission or NHM Assam CHO has released an employment notification to recruit 600 candidates for the post of Community Health Officer. All candidates who are eligible for the given post, may apply.
It is important to note that the candidates must first successfully complete a certified course in Community Health for a period of 6 months. The certificate will be issued under IGNOU. Once it is issued, candidates will be posted at Sub Centre – Health and Wellness Centre as Community Health Officer.

All candidates selected for the post shall lead a primary health care team which will consist of front line workers.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification – Candidates must have a degree in B.Sc in Nursing and must register themselves from a recognized board or University.
Age Limit – The maximum age of a candidate must be 35 years. Although age shall be relaxed for ST and SC candidates.
Other – Candidate must be well versed in English, Hindi and the local language.
Stipend – Rs 10,000 per month will be given for a period of six months.
Remuneration – After completion of the course, candidates will be posted under NHM and will get a stipend of Rs 25,000.
