New Zealand’s Tim Southee had displayed flawless performance and played a crucial role in New Zealand’s win over India in the WTC final. The 32 year old has, however, also made the headline for his kind rapport. Southee has decided to auction his Test Championship shirt to raise funds for Hollie Beattie, an eight year old girl who is diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer, back in 2018.

Southee’s Instagram post reads, “Hey guys, I am auctioning off one of my shirts from the @icc World Test Championship Final to support @hopeforhollie. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Beattie family.”

The shirt has been signed by New Zealand’s WTC-winning squad. The fast bowler has expressed his awe at “Beattie family’s perseverance, strength and positive attitude” after he learnt about her a couple of years ago.
