As per reports, the minister spoke at the inauguration of the ‘Industrial Decarbonization Summit 2022’ in Delhi wherein he addressed the gathering that such an initiative will help in curbing the parking menace.
He said, “I am going to bring a law under which a person sending photographs of a wrongly parked vehicle will be given Rs 500 reward if the violator is fined Rs 1000. This will help me solve the parking problem.”
Although the minister’s statements sparked the urgent need to solve parking problems that ultimately result in traffic congestion and accidents, it has not been yet supported by any legislative scheme.
