Ranoj Pegu, Education minister of Assam informed that special Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) exam will be conducted for filling up of vacant posts of teachers in Bodo medium schools. However, the matter will only be resolved after discussing it with Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma , said Pegu.
Education minister Ranoj Pegu on Saturday held a meeting with the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU), Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), Bodo Primary Teachers Association and Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) administration in Kokrajhar to discuss education being imparted in the Bodo medium.
TET or Teachers’ Eligibility test is a qualifying exam through which students can apply for several vacant post of teachers in Government funded schools.
