The ongoing inoculation drive in Tinsukia has been suspended by the concerned authorities due to shortage of vaccines. The district has faced an acute shortage of vaccines and thus the drive has been halted.
Tinsukia district faced a similar situation on June 27 and June 29 when the vaccination initiative had to be temporarily suspended due to non-availability of vaccines.
“We are currently facing shortage of vaccines because of which the vaccination sessions planned today had to be cancelled. We will resume the inoculation drive as soon as vaccines are available,” Tinsukia deputy commissioner Narsing Pawar said.
