The State Level Recruitment Commissions of the Government of Assam have issued two job announcements for the recruitment of 26441 Grade III and Grade IV vacancies in various government departments.
The newly formed Assam Direct Recruitment Commission for Analogous Posts in Class III and Class IV Act 2021 and Assam Direct Recruitment for Class III and Class IV Analogous Posts Rules 2022 will be used to fill these vacancies.

Assam Direct Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for each category are listed below.
Grade-IV (Class-IV)
Read up to Class VIII- 9000 Vacancy
Passed HSLC or Equivalent- 4300 Vacancy
Maximum Qualification: For Class-IV positions, the maximum educational qualification is HSSLC or passing a class 12th or equivalent examination. Candidates with qualifications that are higher than the minimum requirement are not eligible to apply for these positions.
Grade III (Category I)
Name of posts: Accountant, Cashier, Junior Assistant, LDA, Stenographer, etc.
No of posts: 8,331 post
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree and a six-month computer certificate or diploma.
Grade III (Category II)
Name of posts: Field Assistant, Fieldman, Foreman, Section Assistant, Soil Conservation Field Worker Junior, Agriculture Extension Officer, etc.
No of posts: 3,690 posts
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed HSSLC or class 12th or equivalent examinations. (Some positions require candidates to have completed their 12th grade in a science-related subject.)
Grade III (Category III)
Name of Post: Driver
No of posts: 1,120 posts
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the HSLC or an equivalent exam to be considered.
Age Limit: As of January 1, 2022, the candidate must be at least 18 years old and no more than 40 years old.
Age Relaxation: The upper age relaxation categories are listed below.
# SC/ST: 5 years
# OBC/MOBC: 3 years
# Ex-Servicemen: 2 years
# PwD: 10 years
Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must have registered their names in any one of Assam’s employment exchanges.
