Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, remarked that despite the state’s capacity is to vaccinate 15,000 people per day, it is now only vaccinating 10,000 people per day, during a virtual conference between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Ministers of the northeastern states.
He also urged the Central Government to increase the state’s Covid-19 vaccine quota, claiming that “as the state is yet to vaccinate at par with its per day capacity.”
The State government has also gone for aggressive testing for COVID-19 and inoculation with 68% of the people aged 18 years and above having received their first dose of the vaccine. And thus enhancement will help the state to deal the situation even better.
