Dense Fog likely in Assam and other North-East states for next 3 days: IMD

On Saturday, December 18, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicated that there is a high likelihood of dense fog in several places in Assam as well as other north-eastern states in the next few days.

The weather department during its bulletin said, “Dense fog in the morning hours in isolated pockets very likely over Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during December 19 and 20.”

The Indian Meteorological Department also tweeted in this regard.

Severe Cold Wave

IMD further said that there can be an incremental drop in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C over most Northwestern regions in the country, Central and East India and over Maharashtra till December 21 and then go on to rise by 2-3°C over these areas thereafter.

IMD tweeted to inform that Ground frost conditions in the morning hours in isolated pockets are very likely over Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh and north Rajasthan during the next 3 days and north Madhya Pradesh during the next 2 days.
