Wow Fact: India has the largest number of Post Offices in the world

With more than 1.5 lakh post offices spread across the country, India has the largest postal network in the world.

The number, which stood at about 23,000 during the time of independence, has grown by almost 7 times. Remarkably, 90% of the total post offices in the country are situated in rural areas.
