The world is saddened by the death of UAE‘s President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on Friday at the age of 73. He battled illness for several years.

As per reports, the president of the rich oil gulf state will now be ruled by the half brother of the Sheikh He is the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed.
According to WAM news’ tweet, ” The Ministry of Presidential Affairs has mourned to the UAE people, Arab and Islamic nations and the world the death of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.”
As a sign of mourning, the Ministry of the state has announced that all work sectors both in public as well as in the private will be closed temporarily for the first three days and the flags will be at half-mast.
Sheikh Khalifa was the second President of the UAE. He took over as the President by succeeding his father in November 2004. His father was the richest of the federation’s seven emirates.
