Archer Tarundeep Rai from Sikkim, is all set to represent India at the Tokyo Olympics this year. Rai is the sole sportsman from the state to represent Sikkim in the Tokyo games.
The 37-year old archer has previously represented India at the 2004 Athens Olympics and 2012 London Olympics, but failed to clinch a medal at both the events. Rai has gained a Bronze at the 15th Asian Games in Doha followed by a Silver at the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.
Sikkim Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Kumga Nima Lepcha congratulated Rai on his selection and wished him all success for the event.
