On Tuesday, Nagaland reported over 50 cases of omicron variant. The state however reported the first cases of this variant.
Health Minister’s Tweet over 50 Omicron cases
Nagaland’s Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said, “54 cases have been confirmed from the State. The department has been keenly monitoring the situation in the state and assures that all possible measures are in place. May we all continue to adhere to CAB (covid appropriate behavior) and vaccinate when your turn comes.”
However, Manipur was the first state in the entire northeast to report the first-ever case of this variant of COVID-19 in December last year.
