National Inter-State Athletics; Assam extended dominance in Chennai, 2022

Amlan Borgohain and Hima Das of Assam extended their dominance in the 61st National Inter-State Athletics Championship in Chennai on June 15th, winning two more medals in the 200mts event.

Meanwhile, Amlan Borgohain took home the gold, while Hima Das took home the silver.

Amlan won the gold medal in the men’s event with a time of 21.00s. Karnataka’s Abhin B Devadiga and Maharashtra’s Rahul Ramesh Kadam won silver and bronze, respectively. 

Moreover, Dhana Lakshmi of Tamil Nadu won gold in the women’s event with a time of 23.27 seconds. Hima won silver in the race with a time of 23.29 seconds. Bronze was won by Aishwarya Mishra of Maharashtra.
