The All-India Senior Selection Committee on Thursday picked the squad for the 3-match T20I series against Sri Lanka scheduled in July. The team will be led by Shikhar Dhawan with Bhubaneswar Kumar being picked as the vice-captain in the absence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Shikhar Dhawan will be playing three ODIs and three T20Is against the hosts at the R Premadasa International Stadium in Colombo. A total of six new players and five net bowlers have been added to the squad.
Whereas, India’s red-ball contingent is currently in England preparing for the ICC World Test Championship final which will be played against New Zealand from June 18-22 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Southampton.
