India’s 1st bullet train
Backed up by the latest cutting edge technology, the managing director of National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited, Satish Agnihotri said that , “a special purpose vehicle tasked with financing, construction, maintaining, and managing the high – speed rail corrdior in India, is likely to be completed by 2027.”
The piers have been increasing constantly. Initially it started off with 5 km piers and now it has moved on to 12 km piers.
The construction is taking the help of the latest technology that is available only in few countries. With the help of the technology the duration to complete the project will be shortened.

As per report from the Managing Director, “we have to cast around 11,000 girdens done normally , will take 1 week each. So you can imagine how long the process can be. We have established 15 casting yards using which we plan to expedite the construction time.” The technology in addition has also reduced the amount of land to be acquired.
The project was halted due to the pandemic but now since the situation is slightly improving the construction has been resumed. The construction team of both parties from Japan and India has been working tirelessly.
The plan is to construct the lines on a phase basis. The trial phase will be from Surat to Bilimora station. The Japanese technology has enabled the project to be fast tracked and all the workers has been awarded too. Although the total acquisition of land is going to cut down but the land that is needed in Maharastra still stands at 63 per cent, whereas in Gujarat it is 99 per cent.
